We're #GortonMarried !

We met in a summer Wildlife Biology field class at UVM. On the first day, we were studying birds and I didn't have any binoculars. Matt was so nice and let me borrow his, and we got to talking - we realized we had a lot in common! We spent the summer as friends, going on hikes and exploring Vermont together (Matt knows all the most beautiful places since he's lived here his whole life). In the fall of 2017, after a crazy camping adventure on Mt. Abe, we started dating. Our adventures together have never stopped!

On our New Years' trip to Barcelona, Matt booked us a trip to Montserrat to kick off 2019. We got an amazing tour of the monastery, and afterwards Matt and I were going to go horseback riding through the national park. Little did I know, he was planning to propose at Montserrat! He asked me to marry him against the beautiful backdrop of the mountain, and then we went horseback riding as a newly engaged couple.
