Neither of us thought that Bumble would ever lead to marriage, but here we are! Jeremy and I started going on dates in March of 2019, and in June I forced him to ask me to be his girlfriend. By the Spring of 2020, we were quarantined together. Spending all that time together made us ready to create a lifetime of memories!

The best thing about 2020 happened on June 20th. Jeremy had spent the day finishing a piece of furniture he built for me while I ran around town. We had special dinner plans to celebrate for what I thought was our one year dating anniversary. Jeremy picked me up and started driving us to dinner at a surprise location. We pull into the Crosstown parking lot, where Jeremy blindfolds me. This should have been a huge hint, but he had wanted to blindfold me for a date before, so I didn't think anything of it. As we are driving to dinner, I am steady yapping in my blindfold. We finally park, and Jeremy makes me wear the blindfold out of the car. I hear music and think to myself, "This is it. We are downtown by the river. He's going to propose!" As we walk up and take my blindfold off, we are standing on our back screened-in porch, where we spend many nights eating dinner. The table was beautifully set. Again, it should have been a huge hint, but I start thinking, "Oh, this is for our anniversary- he just went above and beyond!" We sit and start talking when our favorite artist comes on- Luke Combs singing "Better Together." Jeremy asks me to dance in our backyard. As we start to dance, I see someone out of the corner of my eye taking pictures. DING DING DING! I know what's about to happen. As Luke sings the line, "And if I'm being honest, your first and my last name, would just sound better together," Jeremy gets down on one knee. It was the easiest and happiest decision we've ever made! It was a night neither one of us will ever forget!
