Check out their downtown for lots of little shops and goodies. Delicious food and drinks with the occasional moose on the side of the road. They have short hiking trails right outside the city. You can go and visit the town Troll!
If you are looking for great views but don't want to hike a mountain, this is the adventure for you! Still a challenging hike, would recommend hiking boots and poles to help make it up the steep sections (it is all pretty steep though).
Just go for a drive around Dillion lake and stop and some of the scenic checkpoints!
We went whitewater rafting our first time to Colorado. We loved it! It is great for adventure seekers but also safe enough for families with older children. This was one our favorite things that we have done before. Half day tours are plenty for most. Next time we go, we plan on doing a full day tour!
Make the trek over to this National Forrest! Drive down the steep grade to the bottom or just hike around the top sections.
