We first met in high school, sitting in the same homeroom — me with my flute from band, him carrying his football gear, ROTC uniform and ukulele. We were best friends. We shared laughs, little jokes and the small moments that made high school feel brighter. Even after graduation, when life took us in different directions and we were apart for a few years, that friendship stayed in the back of our minds. Then, on one birthday, I invited him back into my world. That simple invitation led to laughter, conversation and a love that resembled a fairytale. We truly believe God was the perfect designer of this love story, guiding every step that led us to each other. From that day forward, every shared adventure and quiet moment has been a testament to His perfect timing. And the rest… well, the rest is history.
In 2013, the young freshies at Lane Tech were assigned home rooms for the next 4 years. Little did Hillary and I know we would be getting married in 2026. We remained super close friends throughout high school. We got a little separated toward the end with classes, friends, and other relationships. Yes, even though she had a huge crush on me. We went our separate ways during college. Loosely following each other on social media. I was able to see her growing and publishing her passions in journalism. We found each other after undergrad at Old Orchard Mall. A few months later, she slyly invited me to her 24th birthday party...and here we are. We had matured a lot. We grew closer to God. We were ready even if we didn't know it. So, here we are. Thanks for reading to the end. We're getting married!!!
