We met in the most 21st-century way, on Tinder! It was September 2019, just a few months before the world shut down due to Covid. After years of dating, heartbreak, and hoping, Hillary finally swiped right on someone who felt different. Patrick was a breath of fresh air. From the beginning, we could talk for hours about everything and nothing and quickly discovered a shared love of wine, the beach, the Philadelphia Eagles, and just being together. For Patrick, it was refreshing to connect with someone outside of his usual circles. Someone from a different town, with a different rhythm of life. Meeting Hillary opened the door to new experiences and conversations, and made everything feel exciting and new.

Everything about our relationship came easily. From the beginning, there was just joy, connection, and laughter. We knew pretty early on that we had found something rare and real. Neither of us had been married before, and finding this kind of love later in life makes it all the more meaningful.

We love to travel and explore new places, especially if good food and wine are involved. One of our most memorable adventures was our trip to Barcelona, where Patrick proposed during a magical day in the seaside town of Sitges. When we’re not off exploring, we enjoy fun weekends at our beach house near Cape May, New Jersey. It’s one of our happy places where we soak in the salty air, spend time with our amazing neighbors, and enjoy the many local wineries. We also love spending time at our cozy cabin in Potter County, Pennsylvania - our peaceful escape into nature where we can unwind, disconnect, and just enjoy each other’s company.
