Please RSVP by March 8th, and book accommodations for 5/16 and 5/17 as soon as possible! May is peak season in the high desert, and the nicest reasonably-priced places to stay can book far in advance. Many rental properties in Pioneertown are set in scenery that might as well be part of Joshua Tree National Park, and there are few experiences more magical than waking up in the high desert! Our story started in Brooklyn in 2015. James held the door open for me while I was maneuvering my bike into our shared apartment building, and we became good friends. In late 2017, over a game of foosball at our favorite bar Birdy's, I told James I had decided to move to LA for work. He held my hand on the walk back from the bar that night, and we moved to LA together a few months later. We turned our move across the country into a road trip, and our final stop in Joshua Tree National Park made a big impression on us. We celebrated the holidays separately that winter with our respective families. I painted two Joshua trees for James while I was away and missing him. The note written on the back speaks for itself. We think there’s no more suitable place to make it official than underneath two Joshua trees. We hope you will celebrate with us! - Hillary
