Located on the fabulous King Street in Historic Charleston, Candlefish is one of our favorite stops when we are in Charleston. Their team curates unique collections of candles, accessories and other home and gift products. With their signature library of scents, it is always hard to decide which candle to take home! In addition to Candlefish, make sure to spend time on King Street. King Street's shops are emporiums of chic and one-of-a-kind wares. Lower King is an esteemed antique district while Upper King is a thriving contemporary design district.

Poogan's Porch is on our favorite places to eat! Tucked away on charming Queen Street, Poogan's Porch gives a fresh approach on Lowcountry cuisine. Tourists and locals alike rave about this Southern institution. Whether it's a warm, homemade buttermilk biscuit and sausage gravy, a bowl of she-crab soup, or their signature buttermilk fried chicken, your meal at Poogan's Porch will be unforgettable. Make sure to schedule some time to walk around Sullivan's Island. There are a lot of incredible restaurants that we love on this island and if you are traveling from out of town, Sullivan's Island is only a few minutes from Mount Pleasant. Patriots Point

Patriots Point Development Authority was established in the 1970s to develop a naval & maritime museum on Charleston Harbor with the World War II aircraft carrier, USS YORKTOWN as its centerpiece. It’s also home to the Patriots Point Museum and a fleet of National Historic Landmark ships, the Cold War Memorial and the only Vietnam Experience Exhibit in the U.S., the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, and the agency's official Medal of Honor Museum.
