Dan and Hillarie met on a beautiful afternoon in the Spring of 2021 in San Francisco. We were attending our friend Rosie's birthday backyard Kentucky Derby party, and Dan leaned over to Hillarie and asked - "would you like to join me as the only person at the party eating this charcuterie board?" And so, our love story began... After discovering we were neighbors, both forgetting items at the party (great minds think alike), and striking up a conversation over Instagram DMs, Dan used the opportunity to deliver Hillarie's lost item and meet again. It was a true Cinderella story, if Cinderella's glass slipper was swapped out for a jean jacket. We went on our first of many neighborhood walks around the Marina, and have kept the conversation going ever since. Hillarie grew to love Dan for his sense of humor and wit, sense of adventure, and candor. And Dan grew to love Hillarie for her loyalty, honesty, sense of fun, and for laughing at his jokes. After many weekend expeditions across California, movie nights in, workouts, culinary adventures, travel in the US and abroad, and time spent with family, Dan popped "the question" on one of our favorite walks in an idyllic town north of the city. Hillarie said yes, and we now reside together only a short distance from the spot in Tiburon, CA. We cannot wait to celebrate our love and marriage with the company of our closest friends and family, and hope you are equally as excited! Our wedding will be the same day as the Kentucky Derby three years after we met, so get your hats and dancing shoes ready!
