Poipu Beach
Right down the street from the Sheraton! Beach has grass, sand, lifeguards and phenomenal snorkeling! There is a large snorkeling bay with some surfing near by. It is next to Bernanke's beach which is great for body surfing.
Tunnels Beach
Across the island on the North Shore is a very long, sandy beach. There is great surfing, snorkeling, and beach walking. There is limited parking and quite a bit of traffic from the South Shore. The maps predicted 50 mins and during the middle of the day it took 2 hours due to the single road, so be prepared!
Waimea Canyon
40 mins up the road is Waimea Canyon! The canyon has many hikes, trails, and beyond amazing views! We did a 2 mile hike down the canyon and back up to see a waterfall. There are many other hike and view options in the state park.
