Like most modern love stories, we both swiped right on a dating app. After some messaging back and forth over a weekend, we made plans for a first date on Thursday night. That Monday, I had just finished taking my first deposition and realized I’d be back in town earlier than I thought. I took a chance and asked Matt if he wanted to get together that night instead. After making me wait just long enough to second guess myself, Matt happily agreed and suggested meeting at Ale & Oyster for drinks. Matt showed up before me (the first and last time Matt was ever on time) and by the end of the night we both knew we had found someone special. Over the next fourteen months, I met Matt’s son, Jack, we met each other’s friends and family, and started building a life together. On December 22nd, Matt, with Jack’s help, asked me to marry him and the rest as they say is history.
When we got engaged in December 2019, we could not imagine how the world was about to change. Given the uncertainty the future holds, and keeping in mind that the health and safety of our family and friends is our top concern, we have decided to have a small wedding with immediate family. We are very much looking forward to this intimate affair. Even though you will not be present with us in person, we invite you to take part in our ceremony virtually so you can see us exchange our marriage vows. Please see the “Live Stream” page for more information. After the wedding, we will be sharing pictures on our website for you all to see.
