Colby and Savannah met on September 28, 2024, after both swiped right on Bumble. Colby started the conversation with a simple message: “You’re mad cute.” What began as an easy, lighthearted exchange quickly turned into something neither of them expected. From the very beginning, Colby was drawn to Savannah’s faith, warmth, and authenticity. Savannah quickly realized that what she thought might be a frat guy trying to be cool was actually a deeply caring, intentional man. On their first date, they discovered an incredible connection—one of Savannah’s older cousins had given Colby his very first Bible years earlier. It felt like God quietly reminding them He had been at work long before they met. At the time, Colby was in Huntsville completing a clinical rotation for his doctorate before returning to Mobile in January 2025. They spent the next five months long-distance, growing closer, stronger, and more rooted in faith. Their connection was undeniable—so much so that their first three dates happened back to back, and on the third, Colby asked Savannah to be his girlfriend. She said yes, knowing this was the man she had prayed for. On August 10, 2025, through God’s grace and faithful provision, Colby asked Savannah to be his wife in the herb garden at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. They are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together—loving one another well, building each other up, and growing the Kingdom of God side by side.
