Hilary & Stuart

    Welcome
    Our Wedding Party

Our Wedding Party

Meet our best friends and family members who are our biggest cheerleaders.

Kristen Ridder

Matron of Honor

Kristen and Hilary have been inseparable since day one of college. Excessive library time and countless dining hall dates later, they managed to graduate and set off on their real world adventures. Now they love sipping rosé and playing Catan with their better halves. Hilary is also in the process of teaching Kristen how to ski. It's not going well so far, but still holding out hope. At the wedding, you will find Kristen pacing the stairs to hit her daily Fitbit goals.

Courtney Andrews

Maid of Honor

Courtney and Hilary realized they were destined for friendship while singing Taylor Swift on the streets of Florence, Italy. They moved into a very pink and green apartment together once they were back on campus. Their friendship has been filled with laughter and ridiculous antics ever since. They love planning weekend reunions, especially with their puppies Stella and Luna (who are also in love). On the wedding day, you will be able to find Courtney weeping tears of happiness.

Mary Kate Farnham

Bridesmaid

Mary Kate has been making family gatherings more fun since 2001. Mary Kate and Hilary have been more like sisters than cousins, navigating family reunions, holidays and the best annual Cape Cod trips. At the wedding, you can find Mary Kate getting chastised for wearing ripped jeans.

Anoushka Yousuf

Bridesmaid

Anoushka bid-promised Hilary during sorority rush. They've been bffs ever since -- even though Hilary never answers Anoushka's PR pitches. They spent a semester abroad in London together, traveling around Europe and regularly getting lost. At the wedding, you'll find Anoushka stirring the pot and exchanging Hollywood's latest gossip with the bartender.

Jenny Magruder

Bridesmaid

Jenny is Hilary's confidant and personal stylist. They first bonded on a flight to London and have been there for each other ever since. They love spending New York weekends together, perusing book and stationary stores. They also regularly end up having long life conversations in the dark corners of bars - just the two of them. You'll find Jenny taking the mic from the band to belt out West Side Story during the wedding.

Martha Masiarz

Bridesmaid

Martha, formerly known as the Queen of Charlotte, once convinced Hilary to crash a boat cruise office party with her. Martha has been spicing up her life ever since. They love shopping days and healthy snacks before a night out on the town together. They also enjoy talking about their many emotions. You can find Martha getting "it poppin" on the dance floor at the wedding.

Lindsey Remington

Bridesmaid

Lindsey and Hilary learned the art of adulting together. They were roommates in Charlotte after graduating from Wake Forest, and learned a few life lessons the hard way. Rumor has it that they used laundry detergent in the dishwasher for a few weeks. They had plenty of laughs along the way and too many trips to Dairy Queen. You'll find Lindsey organizing an impromptu volleyball game at the wedding.

David Tucker

Best Man

David and Stuart go way back. Like, to the delivery room-back. Together he and Stuart wooed hearts as the cute twins in matching onesies. The peacetime ended during their teenage years. Brief periods of intense sibling rivalry, interrupted by regular breaks to take joy rides in their first car (RIP Saab 9-5), would define the next decade. Fate kept them together at Wake Forest where they grew out of their bickering stage. And today, David remains Stuart's first drinking partner, an uncle to Luna and closest of friends with the bride.

Josh Tucker

Groomsman

Josh is the elder of the family. He opened up his cushy, only child life to bring in younger twin brothers when he was 3 years old, and he's been the quintessential big bro ever since. Josh was the owner and manager of their childhood lemonade stand. He broke up countless squabbles between his little brothers and provided Stuart with much needed reality checks while living in the Wake Bubble. Josh will be the most-traveled person in the room by far. For stories about what it's like chasing sharks off the coast of Sri Lanka or trekking the Colombian jungles with government troops, he's your guy.

Kyle Burns

Groomsman

Kyle has been quietly overseeing the groom's integration to the Burns family since they first met in 2016. He covered for the groom's ineptitude on a fishing boat to ensure early approval of Mr. Burns. He helped teach Stuart how to ski. He was so committed to the cause that he even moved in with the bride and groom...for 2 months! Kyle is a first-rounder addition to an already strong roster of the groom's brothers.

David Robson

Groomsman

David joined the team in 2001 when he made the crucial mistake to stop and chat with the new kid that just moved in from Massachusetts. Any potential he had at the time to be a cool kid through his teenage years went out the window at the start of their friendship. Nearly 20 years later, David and the groom have built a good-to-solid friendship, left behind a respectable B-league soccer record and occasionally stay in touch.

Brian Geisinger

Groomsman

Brian is one of the original founders of the core group from Winston. He and Stuart started their friendship built around making fun of their 7th grade classmates and binging video games in his basement. A lot of hours lost. Brian has also served as resident historian for Stuart and his circle of Winston friends. His steel-trap memory has recorded the majority of embarrassing moments from middle school to early career. Feel free to consult his library. $5 per story. $15 for something he knows would upset the Groom if shared.

Harrison Proctor

Groomsman

Harrison met Stuart on night 1 at Wake. A couple weeks went by before they would become friends. Since then, both he and fellow groomsman, William, have been candid about their disdain for Stuart upon first impression. But cold hearts eventually melt. And look where we are now! Short on things to chat about with Harrison? Just yell Roll Tide. Or blink...with both eyes...real slow. He'll know.

William Lee

Groomsman

Following a similar struggle as Harrison, William was one of the original guys in the freshman year crew. Their friendship was based on a mutual appreciation for the weird in life. It explains why we both lived with Harrison and Grant. Find Bill if you're into a Player Haters Ball and want to roast guests across the room. If he looks like an axe murderer, heed caution and give him some space.

Grant Nicol

Groomsman

Grant was the final piece needed to complete the Goons. The only west coaster in the crew, Grant transferred to Wake end of freshman year and brought with him the strangeness required to hang. From Tuscaloosa to San Diego, in tuxedos or NASCAR tanks, Grant has been just as much a social wingman as he has a listening ear.
