We met at what Ira would describe as the shadiest restaurant in Columbus. Hilary would describe it as having the best enchiladas verdes she'd ever had. There were no awkward silences during dinner so an after dinner walk was taken at Mill Race Park. A second date was planned and both left the date wondering if something could actually come of this.
The second date obviously went well and they became a couple. Fast forward to the morning of October 8, 2023. Hilary met Ira for what she thought was a photoshoot for Christmas gifts. After meeting with the photographer in Jeffersonville, the group continued the short walk to the Big Four Bridge. This bridge had become significant for Hilary and Ira and is their favorite place for dates after a quick stop at Fresco Tea Bar for lemonades. Once at the bridge, Shelby took a few pictures and then Ira pulled out a ring pop because Hilary had always said that she would say yes to a ring pop and it didn't need to be anything fancy. After some laughter and a few pictures, Ira pulled out the real ring and of course the answer was yes.
