Hendy Woods State Park
Gorgeous old growth redwood forest. A must for a tranquil walk during the wedding weekend, Hendy Woods is great for those who don’t want to exert themselves too much. Most of the best hiking here is fairly level, and you’ll come to some impressive redwoods (including some fallen giants perfect for photo ops) within just a few minutes of the parking lot.
Boonville
Boutiques and cafes revolve here around the country-chic Boonville Hotel & Restaurant, a hotel option for guests. The Boonville General Store is a lovely country store that prepares seasonal, organic breakfast and lunch daily, and offers local wines by the glass, coffee drinks, and baked goods. The Farmhouse Mercantile offers beautiful, useful items for both home and body. From tablecloths to teapots, jewelry, paintings, and furniture, the Mercantile is a modern-day general store where local and international flavors mix. Paysanne serves refreshing organic ice cream, freshly baked goods, delicious coffee drinks, and so much more. Disco Ranch is an epicurean dream filled with Champagne and a diverse wine selection plus specialty pantry items including caviar, tinned fish, cheeses, cured meats and craft cider.
Tastings
Pennyroyal Farm - Not only a winery tasting room with lunch options and picnic supplies, Pennyroyal produces handcrafted cheese exclusively from the farms’ goats and sheep. Navarro Vineyards - One of the original Anderson Valley tasting rooms. Still a family-run operation, the tasting room is open daily. There is no charge for tasting and no reservations are required. Goldeneye - Specializes in Anderson Valley Pinot Noirs – a spectacular place to taste with its views of the Confluence Vineyard. Roederer Estate - The California outpost of Champagne Louis Roederer has been producing sparkling wines since 1982 Anderson Valley Brewing Co - Sample brews and seasonal releases in the taproom, hang out in the beer garden, and take a guided tour to see the massive copper tanks in the brew house.
Mendocino
Mendocino is a picturesque seaside village with a sweet New England-style visage. Meander along the streets and you’ll find eclectic galleries and charming little shops. Follow the trail to Point Mendocino for a picture-perfect perspective of the ocean, secluded offshore islands, and cliffs that seem to spring up directly from the sea.

The Philo Apple Farm is located just before Hendy Woods State Park and has a self-serve farm stand with delicious fresh apple juice, hard ciders, preserves and fruit for sale.
