In early October, Banff experiences variable shoulder-season weather, with daytime temperatures averaging around 45-55°F and nighttime lows dipping to 32-37°F, though it can be colder. Some days vary between sunny to windy. Conditions can be unpredictable so please pack layers of clothing to adapt to fluctuating temperatures. Weather is anticipated to still be nice enough for a hike and site seeing!
We recommend renting a car if possible but there are several shuttles that can make travel from Calgary to Banff easier. Please see the Travel tab for more information.
To get into Banff National Park (which our venue is located in), a Park Pass is required for entry. Park Passes can be purchased online, at the park gates if driving to Banff National Park, or in person at the Visitor Centers in Banff and Lake Louise. Your day pass or temporary discovery pass must be printed and displayed on the dash of your vehicle while traveling in the national park. To purchase a pass online, you can use this link: https://www.banfflakelouise.com/park-pass-purchase
Please wear formal or cocktail wedding attire. For men, formal or black tie optional is preferred
Our afternoon ceremony will be outdoors in the terrace, while cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors. Please bring a coat in case of chilly weather in the late afternoon.
Unfortunately, our venue does not provide an open bar. Don't worry, drinks are on us but we will have a cap. We ask that everyone is mindful in decreasing wasted drinks!
We love seeing everyone's family grow, but our wedding will only be able to accommodate a small number of children within our family. We hope this notice gives you enough time to make arrangements and still attend. If a plus-one is offered, the invitation will say "and guest" next to the your name.
