My sister asked me to come meet her and some coworkers for a drink. She wanted me to meet a guy named Chris. I was so nervous, but I went. I loved his smile from the beginning. That's how he pretty much stole my heart. We hung out all night, laughed and our first date turned into our forever date. We have been making each other laugh ever since. I never believed in second chances, but now I do. We can't wait to laugh, celebrate and dance with all of you. See you at the Lucy Creek Dockhouse!

We were on vacation for my birthday. We walked into Breakwater Restaurant, in Beaufort, South Carolina. There were some of our dearest friends seated, and they yelled out , “ Suprise! “ So I thought, “ Wow, a suprise birthday dinner! “ We ate dinner, and walked back in the private wine room, and that’s when Chris got down on one knee. He asked, “ Will you be my wife? “ I said, “ Yes! “ He said, “ What did you say? “ I said, “ Of course! “ What made my engagement so special? The friends surrounding me, the seamless effort Chris put into planning this, but most of all it was my birthday. For those of you that don’t know, my father, Richard Harrison Banks went into a coma on July 23. So that date had become melancholy, but as of July 23, 2018; Chris made my birthday happy again. You know what? I’m sure Dad would have approved.

January 2020 we sent out our save the dates. Little did we know, a great pandemic that would change our world, was upon us. In March, we made the decision to postpone our wedding until 2021. This was a good decision and we stand by it today. We are thankful for the vaccination, and look forward to FINALLY “ getting hitched “ on July 10, 2021.
