Our story began back in 7th grade, long before we understood just how much God loves a good long-term plan. Our paths crossed often, especially when Kevin’s mom became my 8th grade history teacher—a detail that still makes us smile. There was always a mutual crush, but Kevin’s goofy personality made it hard for me to take him seriously… at least at the time. Years later, Kevin reached out and asked me on a date. I wasn't totally convinced the once-goofy boy had grown up just yet, so instead of saying yes to a date, I gave him a challenge: come to church with me on Sunday. Kevin surprised me by showing up—no hesitation—which spoke louder than any first date could. After another month or two (and a lot of patience on Kevin’s part), I finally agreed to an actual date. From that very first date on, both of us knew God had been quietly working all along. What started as a junior high-school crush grew into a love rooted in faith, laughter, and perfect timing. And now, here we are—grateful for God’s plan, thankful for a little patience, and excited to spend the rest of our lives together!
