Absolutely incredible sandwiches. Full stop. No notes. Get the chicken parm or the veal parm. Or an egg and cheese in the morning. You will not regret coming out here (and you'll be right by Sarah and Eli's apartment!).
Staten Island Ferry
Fantastic, free boat ride to a mediocre place
Brooklyn Botanic Garden
We love this place no matter the season. The Japanese Garden will make the trip for you. Give our love to the koi fish.
BPL Central Library
A gorgeous library inside and out. Right next to another favorite of ours, Prospect Park!
Unnameable Books
Best used bookstore in the city. Show me your haul at the wedding and if it's cool enough I'll give you a hi-five and if it's not I will frown.

Prospect Park Boathouse
Welcome to the best park in NYC! The Boathouse is one of our favorite places to get a coffee and stroll or sit by the water. Or birdwatch! So much to do in Prospect Park.
The Green-Wood Cemetery
Boss tweed is buried here. Great for contemplative walks and bird-watching.
Brooklyn Cyclones
Maybe the most picturesque place in the world to watch 19 year-olds from Iowa tear their UCL. On a summer night, there's little better than minor league baseball at coney island.
Dog Day Afternoon
Pay your respects at this nondescript row of condos which replaced buildings featured in exterior shots of Sidney Lumet's 1975 Pacino vehicle, Dog Day Afternoon. Chicago dog place with the same name across the street is pretty good too.
Russo's Mozzarella and Pasta
Best italian sandwiches in Brooklyn, park slope division. Save me some.

Another fantastic used bookstore. Best bargain cart in the city, at least when I was there last.
Ocean's 8 Billiards
Where your wildest dreams come true, as long as those dreams are pay-by-the-hour billiards, candlepin bowling, good wings, and cheap beer. You should probably dream a little bigger.
Bar Bayeux
Absolute gem of a jazz bar. World-class players share the stage with local talent. AND they have the best cocktails around (and for a decent price).
Wall Street Bath & Spa 88
Sauna/steam room cold plunge are nice, but really a prelude to beer and vareniki. Welcome to the Banya.
Brooklyn Bridge Park
Beautiful park with the amazing views of lower manhattan and the east side. Take the ferry to manhattan or north brooklyn for a fun ride.
Strong Rope Brewery Red Hook
Good brewery (not too many IPAs!) with incredible sunset views of the harbor/statue of liberty. Red hook is great, and easy to get to by car or bike, not so much otherwise.
