We want you to be comfortable and festive! We've made a "mood board" on the page "What should I wear to this?" here to help you out :) If you are walking with us, either wear sneakers all day or bring a pair to walk in. We will be wearing sneakers as always to keep our feet safe and healthy.
Sure! We're happy to have you along for the full ride, all day!
Not at all! We know we've planned a whole bunch of stuff that might not be suitable for everyone so feel free to pick and choose which parts seem fun and do-able for you!
There is! We're still working out the details but we plan to livestream the majority of the day so anyone that can't join can still tune in and say hi. We'll send out a link as the day approaches.
This wedding is not set up like a traditional wedding. We're considering the lunch at Hart Bar to be the equivalent of a reception. We will be there from 12-2pm on Sunday so we hope to spend time with many people then. Because our wedding is a full day event, we are doing things out of typical order and actually ending the day with the ceremony at 7:15pm. If you want to stick around and continue to spend time with us, we'll be having a casual post-wedding after party at a local bar on the marina.
As we will still be coming out of the pandemic, we have planned the full day to take place primarily outside. We will give a final update on precaution procedures in the weeks leading up to the wedding as we know what the official CDC and NYC guidelines are. A lot of our guests will be fully vaccinated by June and will be feeling safe but there are a number of people who are not able to get their vaccines by then so we will ask for mask wearing when inside and/or when social distancing is not possible.
As we will be constantly moving throughout the day, we will not have a way to store or receive gifts. If you want to bring a card, we will be able to carry that around easily. But please don't feel obligated to bring anything!
No, this is rain or shine! If it looks like it might rain for part or all of the day, we'll ask everyone to be prepared with rain gear and umbrellas.
At Hart Bar for the lunch, it's street parking! On Sundays this is easier because the bigger roads, which are usually blocked off or metered, are open! And side streets are available as well. At Marine Park, for the ceremony, there are two parking lots (“Brooklyn Marine Park Parking Lot, the closer one is where “Wheel Fun Rentals” is listed on google maps) and also plenty of easy street parking in the neighborhood.
