We’re Getting Married!

JJ and Megan met in 2019 aboard the USS John P. Murtha while docked in San Diego, California. Megan, the ship's Medical Officer with oversized glasses and a voluminous jumpsuit, was intrigued by JJ, an immaculate Marine Logistian with a penchant for eating in the wardroom. Connected through their shared interest in triathlon, yoga, and animated board games, the two became instant friends. After a seven-month deployment around the globe, the two continued spending time together on dry land. Our relationship has been cemented through both funtivities and not-so-fun activities such as assembling Ikea furniture, riding tandem bicycles, road trips to Maine, crashing non-tandem bicycles, and traversing the 95 between Bethesda and Norfolk more times than we can count. In October of 2022, JJ punctuated the Marine Corps Marathon with a surprise proposal. The decision was easy! Recently, we returned to our West Coast roots, and now enjoy San Diego living with many bikes, and many houseplants. We are grateful for all of our friends and family who have been there along the way and we can't wait to celebrate with you!
