Katie and Kyle met on Bumble on the night of the 2020 presidential election. After a few days of texting, they went out on their first date to Positano Coast in Philadelphia. After a lovely evening of pasta, milkshakes at Franklin Fountain, exploring Elfreth's Alley and the Old City piers, the two of them realized they both found someone special.

Katie and Kyle dated throughout the early 2020's. Katie would frequently visit Kyle's studio apartment in Old City, Philadelphia and they went on many dates. During this time Katie was studying to become a veterinarian and Kyle was working full-time as a chemical engineer. Both of them supported the other in their aspirations and achieving their goals, all while growing closer together.

After Katie graduated from veterinary school in the spring of 2023, she and Kyle moved into an apartment together in Cherry Hill, NJ. Katie began working as a veterinarian and they adopted their Miniature Australian Shepherd, Evvie, in the fall of 2023.

In 2024, Kyle began planning to propose to Katie. In July of that year, they went on a cruise to Bermuda. On their second day on the island, Kyle surprised Katie with a "photoshoot" on the beach. It was there on the beautiful shore of Bermuda that Kyle asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes.
