In March 2014, while out at a mutual friends dorm room, Kimberly laid eyes on the guy in the room sporting a black Buckey’s t-shirt with a deer on the back saying “nice rack”. At that moment Kimberly thought, "wow a country boy, exactly what I’m looking for." Fast forward many beers later, Kimberly finds out that Zach is definitely not a country boy but does share her love of punk rock. The next couple months while finishing up their sophomore years, Zach at Wentworth and Kimberly at MassArt, they spent time getting to know each other. Zach was introduced to Kimberly's creative side and is blown away at the beauty that can be created with nothing but a pencil and paper. Meanwhile Kimberly has been exposed to Zach's love of Boston sports and constant screaming at the TV. After spending all summer driving from Hudson to Cohasset to see each other, on August 14, Zach took Kimberly up to Lake Winnepasaukee for a nice relaxing weekend. They went out to a delicious dinner at Buckey's Tavern where Kimberly got to pick out her own “nice rack” t-shirt. Later that night while watching the sunset at the beach Zach asked Kimberly to be his girlfriend.

On another trip up to the lake, Zach wanted to go for a hike along a waterfall trail at Castle in the Clouds, where they had hiked a few times before. Kimberly is surprised to hear Zach wants to go for a morning hike but suspiciously agrees. A late morning hike with their dog Indie, they walked along the falls. At the last waterfall at the end of the bridge, Zach got on one knee and asked Kimberly to be his wife. Of course, she responded with “finally!” The other surprise was that Zach's parents had somehow beat us to the end of the trail and jumped out like paparazzi to photograph the moment. They spend the rest of the day out on the boat, while ofcourse ending the day with a celebratory drink at Buckey's Tavern.
