Jill and Ben met in 2017 at UMASS Amherst at their friend Rachel’s 21st birthday. Rachel was seeing Ben’s friend Stephen and introduced the two. They hit it off at a house party but soon parted ways after that weekend. Come January 2019 when Jill visited Rachel at school there was much anticipation and excitement that Jill and Ben would hit it off again…and they did! They danced the night away together at monkey bar at UMASS and the rest is history. Their days became filled with lots of beach rides, oysters, and travel, and soon the lives of an oyster farmer and scientist merged into one. Jill and Ben moved into a tiny one bedroom in Dorchester, and two years later, Ben proposed on a boat at Jill’s Aunt and Uncle’s lake house (successfully not dropping the ring in the lake). They recently bought their dream house in Duxbury and are excited to begin this new chapter in their lives.
