Katie and I are thrilled that you’re visiting our wedding website, as part of our wonderful collection of family and friends. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate our special day with our guests, as you are part of the fiber that brought us together. You’ll find details within this website regarding dates, venues, locations, hotel accommodations, and activities. We know that many of you are traveling great distances to help us celebrate, so we want to make it a weekend to remember! But first, a little bit about us and how our relationship was formed from unexpected beginnings. Katie and I share a love of advertising and it has served as each of our professional career paths. As individuals, we have each worked at some of the most recognizable ad agencies in the industry, each carving out our own niche in the business on our own path, until one day, we found ourselves at the same agency, at the same time, and at exactly the right moment, in each of our lives respectively, to form the foundation of the love that would follow. As co-workers, we quickly forged a mutual respect for one another, an appreciation for bringing our own brand of levity to the office and always trying to make work way more fun than it ever should be. We both knew right away that we were going to be friends and share a lot of great laughs together with a mutual sense of humor that is always in sync. Over time, that respect and appreciation grew into admiration and fondness for one another, rooted in reliability, confidence, trust, and ultimately comfort. Those are our building blocks, and as life was changing around the both of us, we soon realized that our appreciation for one another was actually much more of a partnership. Our unwavering support for one another came clearly into focus, as we prioritized each other ahead of ourselves, and eventually galvanized our love for one another. Katie’s stunning beauty, high heels and fancy dresses may have had something to do with it too… I can tell you some other time about how I’d hear Katie’s heels “click-clacking” down the hallway toward my office and I’d have to pretend like I didn’t notice anything as she passed by. As things go, we made it official by moving in together and creating our own little Modern Family, including my daughter Elle, who adores Katie, and vice versa. The three of us laugh louder than we should, we pick on each other religiously, we love each other relentlessly, we make each other better versions of ourselves, and we are so absolutely blessed to have created this life together. It has been a journey already, but our wedding marks the official beginning of “Us.” We are separated by years. We grew up a thousand miles apart. We have different backgrounds and life experiences. Yet, none of that really matters, because in the end, love waits for no one when it is intent on shaping our lives together. So, for all who will be joining us, we will have waited patiently until our wedding weekend so that we may all celebrate and enjoy this moment together.
