What is the parking situation at The Cooperage?

There is a parking lot at The Cooperage that you are welcome to park in. There are also Lyft/Ubers readily available in Milwaukee.

We love your kids and would love to celebrate with them, but we are unable to accommodate kids due to space at our venue.

You can drive your car or use Uber or Lyft from your home/hotel.

Where will the wedding ceremony be held?
Answer
Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the shore of the Milwaukee River facing the iconic Hoan Bridge.

Have you reserved room blocks at area hotels?
Answer
Room blocks are reserved until July 1 at two area hotels. See the details on the "Travel" tab of this website.

What is the dress code for the wedding?
Answer
Summer wedding attire is welcomed. Women - Summer dresses, Men-collared shirts with optional ties. The average temperature in Milwaukee in August is 76 degrees and cooling in the evenings to the mid 60s. The Cooperage is a historic converted Industrial building in the Walker's point area of Milwaukee. It is on the bank of the Milwaukee River and faces the iconic Hoan Bridge.

What type of food will be served at the wedding?
Answer
There will be a cheese board served during the cocktail hour. Dinner will be a traditional Friday night fish fry including two types of fish. There will be several side dishes along with the fish. All will be served family style at the table. After dinner guests will enjoy a dessert table with an array of sweet treats.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Guests will have a choice of two signature cocktails , beer and wine during the cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour, beer and wine will be provided until 10:00 pm. Guests can purchase cocktails of their choice.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
Answer
The gift registry has the couple's address available for shipping to the couple's home. Gifts outside the registry can be mailed to the return address on the invitation. A card box will be available at the event. Please email Claire if you need the address at: Claire.hierseman@gmail.com

What time should I arrive for the Ceremony?
Answer
The short ceremony will begin at 5:00 pm. Please arrive by 4:45 pm so all guests can be seated prior to the start of the ceremony.

Are guests allow to take photos at the wedding and reception?
Answer
Guests may take photos during the ceremony and reception. A professional photographer will be taking photos throughout the event. Take care in taking shots and defer to the professional photographer.
