It all started on Hinge in July 2021. With few expectations (but open hearts), we met up for our first date at Robert’s Pizza for brunch along the Chicago River. Evan insists he thought Sydney wasn’t all that interested at first, but little did he know she’d already decided they’d hit it off as soon as she learned he was a Leo. And if the 14 hours we spent together that first day were any indication, she was right. From the beginning, we laughed easily, connected deeply about what mattered most to us, and navigated the unknown together (literally, after brunch we improvised the rest of the day, following nothing but the feeling that we weren’t ready to say goodbye yet). In the four years since that first date, we’ve had adventures both joyful and challenging. We’ve traveled to new places, navigated job changes, blended our families and friends, moved in together, and cared for our sweet pup, Oscar. Through it all, we’ve learned that what we want more than anything is simply to keep hanging out, forever. And we can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of that forever with you!
