Happily Ever After

It all started on a little app called Bumble. Will and I swiped right on each other, and of course, I had to send the first message. It was very simple flirting and chatting until he was exposed to covid. I hadn't heard from him for a few days so I reached out to see if everything was alright. He appreciated the concern and confirmed he and his family were in the clear. I was living in Martinez, working in Concord and he was living and working in Vacaville. I didn't feel comfortable driving that far so he kindly offered to meet me at the Martinez marina. we planned it for one of his day offs, after my shift. Me not wanting to take the freeway, I showed up a little late (oopsy). If my tardiness did not deter him, the mormons almost did. Luckily, I showed up just in time to shoo them away and start our date. He made the cutest salami rose for our charcuterie board and the rest is history.
