Travel Note
The park is located approximately 25 minutes (15.5 miles) north of Memphis. Upon arrival at the park, follow the signs to the Recreation Lodge where you will find a gravel lot with ample parking. We strongly encourage carpooling! Shuttles and public transportation to Shelby Forest are not available and Uber and Lyft will be expensive and unreliable. If you have the means, we encourage you to rent a vehicle. If not, please contact Emma or Will and we will connect you with a Memphis local who is willing and able to transport out-of-town guests.
Flight
The Memphis International Airport is small and mighty! It serves Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, and United Airlies. Transportation to and from the airport is typically innexpensive and easy to acquire. Most rental companies offer pick-up and drop-off on-site.
Rental Car
While we understand this is not feasible for all of our out-of-town guests, we strongly recommend renting a car for your visit to Memphis. Memphis is a sprawling city with limited public-transportation options. Having a vehicle will give you the freedom to explore all there is to see and do! Rental cars are available for pick-up and drop-off at Memphis International Airport. Companies with counters at the airport include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, and Thrifty.
Hotel
This is the hotel that we have a designated block with fixed rate ~$120/night.
House Or Rental
Cabins at the park are located along the shorline of the lake, just a 5-minute walk from the venue. The six cabins are recently rennovated and include a fully-equipped kitchen and fresh linens. Each cabin has two bedrooms each with a queen-size bed, a full-size pull-out couch, and common lounge area. There is a two-night minimum and reservations are on a first-come-first basis. Reservations can be made online immediately with a 50% deposit.
