Tanner and Sydney met in 2016 at the most romantic of venues... the annual Raybern Rental's crawfish boil. Although a brief encounter, an interest was sparked that six years later would result in head over heels love and a wedding that needed planning. Fast forward to 2019 at a smokey bar named Guitars and Cadillacs in Amarillo, Texas, fate brought the two together again. Smoke was swirling, couples were dancing, cheap drinks were being poured, and the spark was growing between the two deep in conversation. Later that night, after Tanner and Sydney had gone their separate ways, it was SYD that boldly sent a direct message to Tanner... a fact that he has never let her live down, and that ignited the start of their relationship. After three years of dating and six months of keeping the engagement ring hidden, Tanner asked Sydney to marry him in front of their church in Amarillo, Texas. Their golden retriever, Remy, had the ring box securely tied around his neck, and their families were waiting and hiding in their cars while Tanner popped the question. Four years, two golden retrievers, and a crazy barn cat later these two are ready to tie the knot. The future Peña Family is beyond grateful to all those able to celebrate from near and from far.
