Cocktail attire. Feel free to wear bolo ties and cowboy boots as well if that's your thing. You will be walking on grass and dirt to get to the ceremony site so stiletto heels might not be the best option.
September months are warm and humid. Highs are around 80s with lows in the 60s. Will update weather report as we get closer to the date.
Yes. There is a big lawn with ample parking available for free.
We highly recommend flying into Asheville Regional Airport as that's the closest airport. It's about 25 min from downtown Asheville.
Depending on what adventures you will want to partake in (hikes, swimming holes, etc), it might be a good idea to rent a car as those adventures are not in walking distance to downtown. Ubers are available to get around downtown.
We recommend staying in downtown Asheville instead of closer to the venue in Swannanoa. There's many things to do in Asheville with more lodging options available. Check out the lodging tab for some air bnb recommendations. Black Mountain is about 15 min from Swannanoa and is also a great small mountain town with coffee shops and shopping if you you're not finding anything in Asheville that suits your fancy.
To be honest, Uber can be a bit unreliable, but still worth a try. Another option is to download the AVL Ride application serviced by Asheville Taxi co where you can schedule a ride in advance or just use them like you would with an Uber.
