Although we went to elementary school together, we didn’t officially meet until we both lived in New York City. We happened to both swipe right on Tinder and quickly set up a “friendly date”. We talked for 5 hours on our first date, but never kissed! During our second date, we both got horrible food posioning and wound up staying together for 3 days taking care of eachother. And the rest was history...
I had suspisions that he was going to pop the question at our joint family bbq for the fourth of July. When we arrived I was surprized to see that there were no decorations and I assumed he really had changed his plans so it would be a surprise. Offhandedly, his father asked me to go up to my late father’s study. I opened the door and was greated with twinkle lights, a beautiful Bouquet of roses and Chris began crying. We both started sobbing before either of us knew what was happening. I said yes and we got to celebrate the day with our families. It was absolutley perfect.
