Groom
Colin is intelligent, ambitious, clever, and curious about a wide variety of subjects. He has an abiding respect for horses, having worked with them on a farm before, and an abiding mistrust of pigs, for the same reason. His current project involves a solar satellite which could be used to power other satellites, so if you hear discussion of space lasers, that's what that's all about. He has a deadpan sense of humor and is excellent at puns, with which he enjoys tormenting his fiancée.
Bride
Julia (or Joules, if you prefer) is potentially the most diplomatic person you will ever meet, taking every instance of interpersonal conflict that she encounters as an opportunity to help as many people as possible emerge unscathed and with a new understanding of each other. She is enthusiastic to the point of proving singlehandedly that intelligence and ditziness are not mutually exclusive. Topics of this enthusiasm include mac and cheese, duct tape, good quality makeup, songs with dramatic key changes, and that moment in a novel when several seemingly unrelated plot points all click together. (Oh, and Colin, I guess. He's pretty neat, too.)
The Bridespeeps
Joel (man of honor), Ari, and Ethan are college friends (all of whom are from the Beloit Science Fiction and Fantasy Association), and Matt, Liz, and Manda are high school friends.
The Groomspeeps
Austin, Brenne, Chris, and Paige are college friends (Chris is from BSFFA, the others were all in the same freshman-year dorm together), Eben is a high school friend, and Vman (best man) is some guy from Texas.
