Best Man

Josh and Joel met at church when they were younger and attended cadets together. They became roomates for Josh's junior year of college, and now enjoy fishing, bowfishing and playing video games together. They get along great despite Josh always out fishing Joel. Joel is in his second year at Davenport University.

Marisa Hahn

Maid of Honor

Marisa is Hannah's Maid of Honor and life-long friend. In 2nd grade one asked the other to be her friend, and the rest is history. Whether it be shopping at Target, countless sleepovers, or getting in trouble for talking in math class, Marisa and Hannah enjoy any excuse to be together. Marisa is a loyal friend through thick and thin. She is a junior at Grand Valley for social work.

Jordan Kerkstra

Groomsman

Jordan and Josh went to the same school their whole life, later in high school they became friends and roomed together their first two years at Calvin University. During that time, they spent lots of time outdoors frisbee golfing. Jordan currently goes to Northern Michigan University.

Kristen Maycroft

Bridesmaid

Kristen and Hannah met Freshman year of college at a bible study. They bonded quickly and decided to be roommates the next year. Kristen made Hannah grilled cheese and Hannah stayed awake with Kristen while she turned in assignments two minutes before they were due. Kristen is fun, loving, and always up for any adventure. She will be graduating with her marketing degree this spring.

Nathan Heyboer

Nathan is Josh's oldest brother. Josh would follow Nate as kids and would always try to tag along with Nate and his friends. Whether it was going to play football at the Vanderploeg's or Nate allowing Josh to join him in video games, Josh enjoyed being around his brother and looks up to him a lot.

Samantha Heyboer

Bridesmaid

Sam is Josh's sister-in-law (soon to be Hannah's as well)! Sam and Hannah became close during Sundays at the Heyboer's house when the guys would watch football. Hannah goes to Sam when she needs sister advice. They have each other's backs and have formed a strong friendship over the last four years.

Caleb Heyboer

Groomsman

Caleb is Josh's second oldest brother. They have always been competitive and held a classic brotherly rivalry. Throughout their years of wrestling, playing basketball, and tubing at the cottage, Caleb managed to win a total of zero of these things. Josh can always rely on Caleb to be there for him and to give him good advice. Caleb graduated from Calvin University in 2023 with an accounting degree.

Jordyn DeJong

Bridesmaid

Jordyn DeJong has been one of Hannah's friends since riding the bus together in elementary school. Jordyn and Hannah did multiple sports together through middle school and high school and have stayed in touch despite living states apart during college. Jordyn is a junior at Seattle Pacific University.

Hank Kooyer

Groomsman

Hank and Josh first met each other in a middle school track meet racing for gold in the mile and two mile races. They later ran together on Unity's cross country team and became good friends. Hank and Josh lived together for a time at Calvin where Hank forced him to watch Star Wars. Hank works for an electrical company in Grand Rapids.

Mia Heun

Mia and Hannah sat together at lunch, ran at practice, and went on spring break over their years of friendship. Mia is one of the reasons Josh and Hannah started dating! She invited Hannah to go with her on her family's spring break vacation in 2019...at the same place Josh and his family were. Mia is in school for Nursing.

Tristar Sayumwe

Josh and Tristar became friends in middle school and met up at Hughes Park countless times to play basketball. One of the big moments was when Tristar assisted Josh on a three-point shot in the middle school basketball championship game. Tristar goes to Grace Christian University.

Morgan DeVree

Morgan is Hannah's nursing school buddy and previous roommate. Morgan and Hannah met at youth group where they went on a trip to Belize for a mission trip. They attend DU's nursing program together. They commute to class and spend many hours at coffee shops studying. Morgan is a a Junior at Davenport University.

Dylan Duimstra

Dylan is one of Hannah's brothers and Josh's soon to be brother-in-law. Dylan has known Josh from a young age, and they bond over teasing Hannah during free time. Dylan can't wait to get Hannah's room when she moves out. Dylan is a sophomore at Unity Christian High School.

Emily Dyke

Emily and Hannah have formed a friendship over the many summers spent at the cottage with the Heyboer side and other family events. She is Josh’s older cousin and recently got married in December 2023. Emily and Hannah enjoy their self proclaimed “book club”, girls days shopping and boat days at the lake.
