What to Expect: This celebration is when the bride sits down amongst her loved ones and gets her wedding henna drawn on. This event can be thought of as a welcome party. Men can eat, drink, and socialize while the women are given the opportunity to sit and get their henna done as well.

During this time, the bride and groom’s family come together to perform a pre-wedding ceremony in order to cultivate good luck, fortune, and well being for the bride and groom. Friends and family will be welcomed on stage to apply turmeric on the couple’s face as a way to help them glow on their wedding day.

What to expect: - Baarat: All guests to meet at the main entrance. This is the groom’s procession and the time for his friends and family to dance and celebrate. You want to let the bride’s side know that the groom has arrived! We will have a DJ on wheels! You will eventually be greeted by the bride’s family where a short ceremony will be performed by the bride’s mother to bless Vinny prior to entering the wedding altar. There will be a short water break after this portion during which all the guests will be directed to get seated for the start of the ceremony.
