Bill and Alissa first met on Match.com. After being matched, Bill messaged Alissa first, and they eventually decided to chat on the phone. Alissa immediately noticed that Bill was very easy to talk to, and they couldn’t wait to meet each other in person. They immediately clicked on their first date, and when Bill went in for a polite kiss on the check, Alissa surprised him with a kiss on the lips! As their relationship continued to grow, they both knew that it was love at first Match!
Alissa and Bill were eager to begin their lives together and soon moved in to an apartment in Los Feliz. They not only enjoy exploring the vibrant town of Los Feliz together but also love cooking new and delicious recipes, going out to the movies, seeing shows together, and rooting for the Eagles every Sunday! In January of 2019, they adopted Quint, their Pitbull and Catahoula Leopard dog mix. Quint has brought so much joy to their lives and they are so grateful for her cuddles and kisses. Bill and Alissa love spending their free time walking with Quint to brunch on the weekends, hiking in Griffith park, and of course, snuggling at home! Between their love for Quint, their commitment to dog training, and Bill’s exceptional ability to teach her tricks, Quint has been the perfect addition to their family.
After dating for about four years, Bill decided it was time to pop the question! Each year, Alissa’s family takes an annual vacation on her dad’s boat. Bill knew how special these trips were to her family, and he wanted to propose in front of Alissa’s parents and on her dad’s boat. The next family boat trip was a year away, so Bill spent this time making sure the proposal would be perfect. One evening while enjoying happy hour in the harbor, Bill began playing his Proposal Playlist—a compilation of songs that reminded Bill of Alissa—on his guitar. After singing She’s Always a Woman by Billy Joel, Green Eyes by Coldplay, Tiny Dancer by Elton John, Home by Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, and Marry You by Bruno Mars, Bill got down on one knee and asked Alissa to spend the rest of his life with him. Surrounded by her parents and the stunning Washington sunset, Alissa said yes (and then immediately Facetimed her sister)!
