Under the watch of Lincoln

El Chalan never tasted so good!

Though we both have the honor and pleasure of being born and reared in Kentucky, our nation's capital was home to our earliest feelings. Our first date was over a plate of Lomo Saltodo in a cozy, Foggy Bottom basement. We finished the evening taking in the sunset over the Anacostia, from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. After four years of weekend visits, long phone calls, and different time zones we still fondly remember those first moments. Even then, we knew we had something special. Family has proven to be an integral piece of our story, whether by the casual influence of a cousin, or the countless miles traveling between Brandenburg and Lancaster to spend precious hours with loved ones. God has provided many opportunities and many amazing role models for us both. Words alone will never be enough, however we love and appreciate you all. We look forward to celebrating God, our families, and our marriage with you!

Crab Cakes and Football

The Ball's

It all began in Annapolis, Maryland and Ron and Keryl Ball were instrumental in making me the man I am today. Keryl got all the details of my first dates with Leah and Ron taught me how great frozen chocolate chip cookies tasted around eight o'clock. Although I went to the Academy hoping to fly, Ron's subtle guidance cemented that dream. Keryl taught me how to cook and I know Leah will be thankful for Keryl's hard work.

FloraBama

The Dracos’

My first stop in the pursuit of wings of gold was Pensacola, Florida. During the six months spent in the Redneck Riviera, Leah and I had the pleasure of knowing Steve and Beverley Dracos. They showed us true kindness and we grew fond of our experience on white sandy beaches and time spent at Florabama.

Everything is Bigger in Texas

The Kuyatt's and the Yellow Rose of Texas

Since graduating from the Academy in 2016, I spent the majority of my time in south Texas completing flight school. Although we were ambivalent initially, Leah and I grew to love the Lone Star state and more importantly, the Kuyatt's and Jimmie Driver. "J Lee" was not only my landlord, but she was my roommate, mentor, and date. I'm thankful we continue to be close friends. Jimmie's daughter Andi, and son in law Neal, proved to be some of the most influential and amazing people I've had the pleasure of knowing. Welcome Neal, Andi, Haley, Barb, Jimmie, Justin, Kaitlin, Kinsley, and Jordan!

The Forney's

When I moved to Oklahoma, I only knew a couple people I trained with in flight school. Through the recommendation of an Instructor, I contacted Jack and Keesty Forney in hopes of buying my first home. As realtor's they welcomed me with open arms and within a couple days I put an offer on a house in Norman. Since October of 2018, Leah and I have become close with this wonderful family from Moore, OK. They have two children, Jackson and Jace. Our wedding date also happens to be Jack and Keesty's anniversary!
