While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Please keep ivory, cream, and white-based dresses at home. Please no khakis or jeans.
Both our ceremony and reception will be at Roostertail (100 Marquette Dr, Detroit, MI 48214). The ceremony space is on the side patio (fully paved for those who are going to wear heels).
Detroit is typically warm in September, with maximum temperatures dropping from 81°F to 73°F and minimum temperatures dropping from 64°F to 57°F.
Our ceremony will be outdoors (weather permitting) on the side patio and reception indoors in the Marine Room with patio access throughout the night. Note, the ceremony space is on the side patio (fully paved for those who are going to wear heels).
After the ceremony, the bride, groom, and their immediate family members will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving hors d'oeuvres and beverages during a cocktail hour. Please take advantage of the photobooth and guestbook!
When driving to the venue, we recommend that you take I-75 to the East Jefferson Exit! Once on Jefferson, go about four miles down, past Belle Isle to Marquette. Turn right on Marquette. Please note, if you do not take this route, you will go through some neighborhoods in the area (just not as scenic!). There is a fully gated, free parking lot to leave your vehicle in.
Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time. Our ceremony begins promptly at 5:00pm; we recommend arriving no later than 4:30pm. Any latecomers will not be able to be seated as to not disrupt the ceremony.
Parking is totally free in the gated venue lot!
Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.
Please note that devices out during the vows will NOT be tolerated. We strictly ask that all phones and cameras remain completely off and put away until the reception. Anyone who takes their phone out risks blocking a shot or ruining the professional photos—and keep in mind, we are right by the Detroit River, and the groom isn't opposed to throwing anyone in. Thank you for cooperating and helping us keep this moment sacred.
We do! Please reference the "Travel" tab.
Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before August 16, 2026. You can RSVP right here on our wedding website.
