We’re getting married!

Joseph's side to the story: I spent months getting to know Brooke over the phone before we met in person. She was the Maid of Honor and I was the Best Man in a wedding. We would talk and flirt late into the nights and through out our busy days building a lasting spark. Eventually enough was enough and Brooke booked a trip from Arizona to Idaho so we could finally meet. It was a weekend to remember, full of romance and laughter, but more importantly it was the start of the rest of our lives together. Brooke went back to Nursing school in Arizona, and I went back to my busy schedule with school and the military. But whenever we were able to carve out time to catch a flight we would go see each other. It went on like this until Brooke graduated Nursing school and had to make a decision of where to go next. She chose Idaho, making me smile for what seemed like a week. Ever since that moment we have been building our lives together. We have been on many adventures and grown our family over the last couple years, and now we are soooo happy and excited for the next step of our journey in Costa Rica with all our loved ones to share it with! Brooke's side to the story: I was the Maid of Honor and Joseph was the Best man in our friends wedding. They had called us both on a three-way phone call to talk wedding details. All of the sudden they had to go leaving Joseph and I to the first of many late night flirty conversations of which I did not mind losing sleep over. That first phone call turned into many more phone calls, cute “good morning” and “goodnight” texts, skype dates and adorable selfies of Joseph with the dogs. The constant giddy feeling and butterflies in my stomach were just too strong so I decided I had to meet this handsome mountain man in person. He sounded way to good to be true. So I flew out to Idaho for the weekend to meet the man of my dreams. It was an incredible weekend full of laughter, adventure and romance. From then on, I couldn’t stay away. Flying back and forth every weekend we could, we created memories that will last a lifetime. From Boise to McCall and Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, the romantic adventures seemed like a dream. This dream quickly turned to reality when I decided to move to Idaho. The best decision I ever made because it was the start of our beautiful life together. I have never felt a love so strong. Joseph has become the best partner, father and friend a girl could ask for. We cannot wait for you all to join us on our next adventure in Costa Rica!

In beautiful South Lake Tahoe, Joseph and Brooke strolled the beach reminiscing on the past years of wonderful memories together. Joseph was being a little more lovey than normal so Brooke was suspicious. Even though her senses were heightened, she was still very surprised with what unfolded next. With baby Everett in one arm, the burp cloth he was holding in the other hand fell unto the sand. He said, "Oh no! I dropped the burp cloth!" and slowly bent over to pick it up while grabbing the ring hidden in his pocket. With a smile from ear to ear draped across his blushing face, he turned around on one knee and asked Brooke to marry him.
