Kathleen & Ethan

    Wedding Party

Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be with us every step of the way.

Kathleen Peterson

Bride

Kathleen is 24, going on 65. She loves to bake, ride her bike and enjoys a nice walk through any of Chicago's parks. She grew up in Dearborn, Michigan and spent her summers Up North with family. Kathleen feels most comfortable at the beach and has an unexplainable infatuation with Lake Michigan. She owns too many dresses, more shoes than she needs and enough tubes of lipstick to paint a mural.

Ethan Scott

Groom

Ethan loves learning new things, exploring new areas and meeting new people. He grew up in a small town and settled in a big city. He is constantly curious and always in search of avenues for personal growth. Though Ethan loves to make a plan and check things off his many pre-made lists, his fear of missing out occasionally fuels his sense of spontaneity.

Madeline Peterson

Maid of Honor

Madeline and Kathleen are 3 years apart, but they might as well be twins. As Kathleen's favorite (and only) sister, Madeline has been a naturally excellent Chicagoan roommate. She's a determined and hard-working fashionista who loves to travel and try new foods. The two always have a good time together in their pajamas, while watching E! News in their cozy, antique-filled apartment.

Austin Scott

Best Man

Austin and Ethan's relationship is the longest-running of any other on this list (all 22 years of Austin's life). They've been playmates, roommates, confidants, accomplices, entertainers and brothers. And though he didn't have much of a choice, Ethan would have undoubtedly chosen Austin as a friend, regardless of their kinship. He's one of the most reliable, handy, compassionate, resourceful and best men.

Erin Gudeman

Matron of Honor

Erin and Kathleen met in middle school. Their friendship began in art class when Kathleen complemented Erin's [then] fashion-forward purple pants. Since then, the two have been an inseparable pair of peas in a pod. They both prefer a night in baking cookies followed by an early bed time to most any other activity. Kathleen is so happy she found a friend with as many grandma tendencies as herself.

Noah Scott

Best Man

Noah and Ethan are 8 years apart. But because Noah is wise beyond his years and wittier than a [insert something very witty to satisfy analogy], their bond feels deeper than just 18 years in the making. He and Ethan share an interest in people-pleasing, theater acting, procrastination, and learning new hobbies. Noah is the youngest, most outgoing, cutest, funniest, and remarkably sleepiest of the three brothers. And like Austin, he is objectively one of the best men.

Paige LaCasse

Bridesmaid

Paige and Kathleen are neighborhood besties. They grew up down the street from one another and witnessed each other's embarrassing middle school years (seriously, anyone who stands by you through those years is a true friend). They share so many memories, many of which have been immortalized in their silly home movies. Even though they live more than 10 houses away now, they share an unbreakable bond (likely established amidst the many death-defying trampoline trick attempts).

Jesse Sivec

Groomsman

Jesse and Ethan were both orientation group leaders at Oakland University. During their first week of training, the duo spilled their souls to one another, sharing some of the most intimate details of their lives. They got very little sleep that week but partook in some of the most accelerated bonding either had ever experienced. From that moment, they were slated to become the closest of friends, always able to count on one another—for anything.

Laura DeHart

Bridesmaid

Laura and Kathleen are as close as cousins can get without becoming sisters (that's how family works, right?). The two spent a lot of time together growing up and even though they now live miles apart, they continue to remain close. Their bond is always strengthened by the silly things they do together, like taking terrifying rides on tandem bicycles and walking dogs on roller blades. Each wacky adventure energizes their friendship and brings them even closer.

Zac Budrow

Groomsman

Zac and Ethan met when they both worked for University Housing at Oakland. They shared a mutual love for their friend, Jesse, who introduced the two of them. Once introduced, they realized they had a lot more in common than just their bromantic tendencies and their short stature. Namely, their love for loud music, horror movies, technology and thrill rides. The two hit it off and spent numerous summers as roommates.

Blair Carlisle

Bridesmaid

Blair and Kathleen are desk mates at Geometry Global. Blair was Kathleen's first Chicago friend and has quickly become one of her best. After months of sitting shoulder to shoulder at work, Blair moved into Kathleen's Chicago neighborhood and now they live practically arm in arm. The two have so much in common and Blair has made Kathleen's move to the big city—away from family and other friends—so much easier.

Alejandro Herrera

Groomsman

Alejandro and Ethan both studied graphic design at Oakland University. When he moved on to life off-campus, Ethan stepped into Alejandro's previous on-campus design role. Their friendship blossomed again after graduation when Alejandro drove an injured Ethan to and from work every day for months. They have been cracking jokes, jamming out, eating tacos and drinking beer together ever since.

Lilli & Annie Gray

Jr. Bridesmaids

Lillian, Annabelle, and Kathleen are cousins. These two sisters are so much fun! They're always actively seeking adventure, be it dance competitions or downhill skiing. Kathleen was the flower girl in their parents' wedding and here they are as junior bridesmaids in hers. Lilli, Annie, and Kathleen enjoy spending a lot of time together during the summer in Traverse City going to the beach and eating Cheetos (only the puffy kind).

Chase Bertrand

Officiant

Chase and Ethan's friendship dates back 11 years, to 9th-grade biology class, where they originally bonded over their mutual admiration for comedian Dane Cook. Their friendship continued to grow as they uncovered more shared interests and personality traits. Like their impeccable style, the best taste music and an excellent sense of humor... did we mention those were shared traits?
