It started with friendship. In 2019, Jacob & Kristen were Senior track captains walking back to the high school sharing a Poptart and joking around, not knowing the future God had planned for them. They kept in touch after high school, by Jacob writing “Hello’s” and “Hi’s” on Kristen’s college care packages sent by her mother through UPS. Fast forward to summer of 2022, when Kristen & Jacob reconnected and started catching up again. What a memorable summer that was, full of long drives, movie magic moments, & a lot of music and dancing. 3 years passed; Kristen graduated college, then Jacob graduated college, then they were both adults in the working world trying to squeeze in any adventures they could. This led to early morning jogs in spring thunderstorms, Kristen teaching Jacob how to snowboard and garden, Jacob teaching Kristen how to eat crabs and play video games, singing at Hozier concerts, experimenting with cooking and sushi-rolling, late night Sheetz runs, road-tripping to Vermont, taking the train to Philly, and their first tent camping trip... that rained the whole time. They knew they wanted to spend forever together; they were just waiting for a good time. Well Jacob had a secret plan... On January 4th, 2026, he proposed at their church and she said YES! So here is to forever, and here is to the future Mr. & Mrs. Long!
