Downtown Frederick is a great American Main Street with over 200 specialty shops, art galleries, restaurants, and bars. Walk along Carroll Creek which runs right through the middle of downtown. Hit the Shuckin' Shack for a beer with oysters & other seafood, Bushwaller's for a pint of Guinness, or one of the few ice cream shops (South Mountain Creamery and Hoffman Brothers Ice Cream) to beat the heat. There's also a cool record store and other great shopping.
Check out the Ballenger Creek trail, which winds along Ballenger Creek. It's paved, scenic, and good for spotting wildlife. This is our favorite trail to run/walk on when we visit Courtney's family.
Spanning more than a mile through the heart of historic Downtown Frederick. This creek walk offers beautiful views; specialty shops, outdoor dining, breweries and a distillery.
Baker Park is located in Downtown Frederick. This 58-acre park features a carillon, band shell, tennis courts, softball and baseball fields, and Culler Lake.
