Mike and I have known each other since elementary school in Pennsylvania. Even as we grew up through middle school, junior and senior high school, we were always friends but never dated. After we graduated, Mike enlisted in the Army then settled in Florida where his parents live. As for me, I stayed in Pennsylvania trying to make a life for my daughter and I until I decide to pack up and move out west to Arizona in 1999. Then about 5 years ago, through the miracle of social media, we connected. We had many long conversations and then, one day, Mike told me that he had a crush on me since elementary school. I had no idea because he never told me until now. We continued on with our long conversations over social media which made the distance between Florida and Arizona seem not so far, growing closer and closer. Then Mike would fly out for long weekends to visit and then he decided to move to Arizona. Even a pandemic couldn't keep us down. Since our jobs considered us essential workers, we worked everyday like normal. By doing so, we bought the cutest little house. Then, one day in September of 2020, Mike said let's go look at rings. It didn't take long to find the perfect ring and he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes. I mean we get along so well. We have lots in common. We know how to make each other laugh. We are best friends so it's a no brainer for me to say yes. So, "who knew" this is what the universe had planned for us? Here we are today getting closer and closer to our wedding day to begin our lives together as Mr and Mrs. 💞
