FAQs

Question

Do we need to book a hotel?

Answer

A day trip to Winston-Salem is very doable from the Charlotte area. The wedding festivities are planned for Sunday, 10/11/26 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm so a hotel room may not be necessary. If you wish to come into town early and explore the local sights, we encourage you to do so! We also don't want anyone to feel pressured to drive after celebrating with us, so having somewhere to crash Sunday night may benefit you as well.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are many wonderful places to stay in Winston-Salem, so it depends on what sort of experience you are looking to have. The wedding venue has rooms on-site that are available for booking and that is where the bride and groom will be staying the night of the wedding. If you also want to be on-site for ease of travel, we recommend our guests try to book a room at "The Mews". The Graylyn is a historic estate that was built by the Gray family in the 1920's and The Mews was historically their horse stables. Today, that area is more reminiscent of a European courtyard and a wonderful place to host family and friends for a post-wedding nightcap. If you wish to take advantage of travel points, there are Marriott and Hilton hotels in downtown Winston-Salem. If you prefer something with more character, The Historic Brookstown Inn and The Cardinal Hotel both are great options.

Question

Are there any other wedding events over the course of the weekend?

Answer

There will be a casual gathering on Saturday, 10/10/26 for any guests that come into town for the weekend. Details are TBD. This event will be open to all guests.
