The old steal a mans number off a dogs collar trick

Following graduation, Shannon made a last minute decision to move back to the Quad Cities to start her career as a Pediatric Physical Therapist. Caleb on the other hand was planning on selling everything and moving to either Texas or Colorado. On May 2nd, 2021 Shannon went for an evening walk with three of her roommates around the neighborhood. About two blocks from home, a cute and sweet Labradoodle named Joshua made his introduction to the group while Caleb was doing yard work. Caleb ran over to the group of pretty girls and apologized for his dog approaching Shannon and her friends, made minimal small talk, and returned to yard work as the group of roommates continued on with their walk. As soon as they had gotten away from Caleb's house, Shannon's roommates insisted that they walk past his house again and get his number for her. Shannon was resistant, but ultimately they ended up walking past his house to return home. Shannon and her roommates thought that Joshua was just drawn to them as he approached them on the sidewalk again, when in reality Caleb had called Joshua over to visit with them. He thought they had come back to see Josh, as he is a very social dog and the better looking out of the two of them. Caleb, Shannon, and her roommates engaged in more small talk and Caleb ended the conversation with "I hope to see you around this summer". As they made their way home, Shannon's roommate informed her that she had memorized the phone number on Joshua's dog-collar. With much hesitance and maximal encouragement, Shannon texted Caleb and said "Thanks for letting us pet Joshua, he's a cutie". We went on our first date two days later, enjoying lunch, ice cream, a walk by the river, a bike ride, and great conversation. Now we enjoy each day together with our two dogs, Joshua and Moose. We look forward to continuing our life together and building a beautiful homestead on our property where the wedding will take place. As cute as the story of our meeting is and grateful to have met each other this way, we really want to thank you for being a part of our story! You are the ones who helped us to become who we are! To mold us into the people each of us fell in love with!!

For all the days along the way
