We first met at Escape Brewery in Redlands, as a part of our DPT cohort Meet & Greet organized by Jac in June of 2021. Despite polite introductions that evening, our friendship didn’t start until a couple of months later. Me being a little introverted, took a while to open up to my beautiful fiance’s subtle and reserved personality. Our friendship initially began on the pickleball courts after Jac everso politely invited herself to come play with us after weeks of hinting that she was interested in learning to play. And boy was it a great thing she did! We hit it off playing against each other; never actually being partnered up, but always trash-talking. From there we became teammates in our IM League, study partners, drinking buddies, and the greatest friends. We continued as just friends for quite a while knowing this relationship was something special. A cross-country road trip in the spring of 2022, with our friends Matt and Chanel, changed everything! That trip coincided with my birthday and Jac decided to take us out for a night out on the town in Nashville, TN. I’ll never forget that night of singing our favorite country songs at the top of our lungs, riding the mechanical bull, and asking her to order the most ridiculous drinks. The night was capped with a walk back to the car in the rain, holding her hand for the first time, with more joy in my heart than I’d ever felt before. We began dating two weeks later and haven’t looked back since as the last two years have been a sprint. Whether it was on the soccer field or the pickleball court, in the classroom, or out with friends I’d found the person I wanted to spend every moment with for the rest of my life.

We have been blessed with the unique opportunity to take our skills on the road! Starting in February we’ll be starting new jobs with a travel PT company known as Upstream. By November 2024, we will hopefully be signing our first contract in Arizona, Texas, or Colorado. We will be sure to keep everyone updated as our plans continue to develop! We are excited to see what God has in store for us!
