Our story starts in November 2020... though neither of us knew it at the time. Andrew had just started a new job a few weeks before and decided to join his new coworkers for lunch. Once the meal was over, Andrew went to the bathroom and returned to the table to find that everyone had left except one coworker: Paola. Over the years, we would slowly get to know each other at the office and when hanging out with mutual friends. Eventually, Andrew invited Paola for walks (outside!) which Paola accepted and pretended to like. Afterwards, we went to Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers (which Andrew pretended to like). Naturally, this led to cereal parties, painting Christmas trees, train rides, and shooting apples out of cannons. In October 2023, after driving through multiple towns looking for a pier that didn't exist, a proposal took place on a small, isolated beach in Nahant, Massachusetts. And the rest, as they say, is history.
