As a bestie of the bride, Suz has become a sister in the spiritual and in the natural. From matcha dates where we dream together and cast a vision, to intercession sessions in the car, to being each others biggest fan Suz has been a pillar and a solid friend.

She became my other half in 8th grade where we would chase one another in the halllways with fruit in our hands and race to our AP art class where we all we would do is sketch eyebrows and joke about my black card while listening to deep music. Over the years, Mear and I have traveled around the country and made memories that one could NEVER forget. And for security reasons and potential defamation of character I will not list them here. Not only that, through every single heart break and traumatic moment, Mear has walked side by side with the bride with unwavering loyalty and support. If you mess with me, I’ll probably forget but if Mear finds out it’s OVO.

MAKIII, the wild card of the bridesmaids group and the brides very own cousin & shayla all the way from Adesu Gebeya. This lady aims to make every moment cinematic, will never back down on a bet or dare, and is always down for spontaneity and adventure. The Lord miraculous reconnected us in 2024 by granting maki an invitation to come to the US for my college graduation while all the cards and i mean ALL the cards were stacked against her case. Since then the sun feels a little brighter and the hard moments have felt a little lighter. Maki is the sister I never knew I needed and she’s taught me to laugh long, dream big, and that most things aren’t that deep.

I met Vanessa because a friend of mine wanted me to get plugged into community so he invited me to his girlfriends bible study. Brukie knew so little about me yet she received me as a sister and let me pour into her, supported, my every endeavor, was so intentional about celebrating my every milestone, and even helped fund me financially as a first time missionary consistently! And she’s a real habesha she’s always gonna fight for the check LOL. I feel so at home every time I’m with her and wouldn’t want to have my special day without her by my side <3
