Herman is a bay area native, having lived in and grew up around the area. Melody was born in California but grew up in New Jersey, then went to school in Boston and Beijing. Herman and Melody met when she moved to the bay area for work.

We went up to Mt. Shasta on our first trip together and came back full-circle again during a weekend getaway full of wine tasting, restaurants, and long hikes. At the top of the mountain, with Shadow as our witness, Herman proposed! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in SF!
