Best Man
Andrew once threw a birthday party at a nature and science museum when we were kids and gave out pencils as party favors. Despite this, we've maintained a friendship.
Matron of Honor
Lauren and I met in kindergarten, but it wasn't until 4th grade that we became best friends. The first time Lauren came over to my house, she almost fell off our rope swing and ended up basically Tarzan swinging from the branches of our tree...on the side of a slope... Needless to say, she passed the 'friendship initiation' phase and we've been like sisters ever since. Can't wait to see what I can get her into on our wedding day.
Groomsman
Andy and I have bonded over stand up comedy, sports, inventing voices for dogs, and drunkenly annoying my sister (he is my brother in law).
Maid of Honor
Valerie and I met on my first night EVER as a nurse--she was my preceptor (trainer) in the NICU and we instantly bonded over crazy dating stories. Fast-forward living together, travel nursing around the country, meeting both of our future partners in Connecticut 2 weeks apart, we're both in each others weddings and I couldn't imagine it any other way!
Groomsman
Joe and I met on a Bruce Springsteen message board online in 2009 and have since dubbed our friendship name as "Joan".
Bridesmaid
My first impression of Melanie was....interesting. We received an email from SFSU stating who our roommates would be, so naturally we all stalked each other on Facebook. Melanie's cover photo was a carton of eggs with angry faces drawn on all of them (??? hahaha), and I saw comments on her page from her mom (LOVE U DIANA) talking about me and our other roommates. I was a little nervous, but we instantly became best friends and lived together for the next three years. My sweet angel Melanie moved to Japan after college and I haven't seen her in far too long, but she will always be my best friend and soul mate and can't wait for her to stand beside me on my wedding day!
Groomsman
This is my father, he raised me and bought every pair of shoes I owned until I was into my 20s.
Bridesmaid
Tanna and I met working in the NICU in Colorado Springs, also bonding over our crazy dating stories and love of hiking. I've watched her grow from a single lady to a wife and mama of two perfect little girls, and it's been the most beautiful sight to see! Can't wait for you to stand beside me, T!
Groomsman
I met Dave around the age of 3 and since then we have both matured at roughly 1/8th the rate we should have.
Bridesmaid
Hannah and I met on night shift as travel nurses here in Denver. We both had been sent to the PICU (pediatric intensive care unit.....very very different from our normal NICU) and we bonded over our lack of knowing what to do, where things were, night shift exhaustion, and the annoyance of being floated in the first place. 3 years later, we've travelled all over with Hannah and her man, Eric, and now Hannah & I host a podcast together!! (Drunk or Delirious? on Spotify & Apple Music, if you're interested, haha!)
