FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We're going to start at 3:00... or as close to 3:00 as possible given that Jess is Puerto Rican and Dylan is a Shiver. We know, it's a struggle for us to be on time, too. But if you show up late, you will have to sneak in like Jess did for Dylan's sister's wedding and we'll probably make fun of you. 😂

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, there will be transportation to and from the Doubletree Hilton in Holland, MI. You don't have to stay at the Doubletree to hitch a ride - but the Doubletree is the only stop the driver will make to and from the venue.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is limited parking available at the venue. The ceremony will take place across the street, so if you park at the venue, you should be all set for the day/night.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No, not really. We want you to feel comfortable and look good and we're just happy to celebrate with you. We trust that everyone we invited knows how to dress themselves still, even if you did just wear sweatpants and a hoodie for all of 2020.

Question

Can I wear white?

Answer

If you have a death wish.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely not. I don't even want to hear about it. To be honest, everyone around you is likely sick of hearing it, too. So just don't talk about it any more. You're a vegan? Great. Keep that info to yourself. You're allergic to shellfish? Super. Do not put any shellfish in your mouth between the hours of 3:00pm and Midnight on June 26, 2021. Get hives on your own time. You get to choose your own dinner selection once we send out the invites.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

This is a wedding, not a conference. So, no, we are not planning any other "events" for you to attend. Now, if what you meant was "Are there any events in Saugatuck, MI that same weekend that may impact travel/accommodations?" then the answer is - we have no idea. Saugatuck is small so we highly doubt there are any other events (concerts, sports, etc.) taking place. That said, it is a touristy Michigan summer town so there are likely to be many vacationers about town enjoying ice cream, leisurely walks, boat rides, and other shit white people do in the summer. And since we live in a society, you will likely encounter these people. Plan accordingly.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

June 4, 2021, please.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out the Accommodations tab for more details about where to stay!
